Good evening, Club Brittany Families,

I want to apologize for the issues with the deep end. The problem is continuing to plague us. We had a contractor out this morning and we’re pretty certain that the problem is with a valve that isn’t closing all of the way. They are ordering the parts, which should be here early to mid-week. The vendor will replace the valve as quickly as possible and we hope to have the water clarity resolved by next weekend.

Additionally, there is some algae growing on the walls of the deep end. We need to scrub all of the walls, shock the pool, and vacuum out all of the waste.

Due to this, we’ve made the difficult decision to close the pool on Monday and keep it closed while we address these two issues.

Again, we apologize for the inconvenience that this brings. This is not how we wanted to start the season. We need to take the time to take care of the problem, though. We will keep everyone posted on any updates and open the pool as quickly as possible.

As a reminder, the majority of those who are down at the pool working hard to keep it running are volunteers. Club Brittany is a not for profit organization. Please be patient with us. It weighs on us heavily that this issue has drawn out how it has.
